James Horrobin's metalwork designs are contemporary
and site specific. They set out to complement their surroundings
in both interior and exterior situations. They have a natural organic
feel that is inspired by his love for the sea and landscapes of
West Somerset.
He uses traditional hand forging techniques combined with modern
fabrication methods and takes advantage of new technology. CAD
is used not as a design aid, but to ensure precision.
He works with both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and experiments
with surface texture and patination.
