Lanterns

Pair of Lanterns for the Broadway Portico of St Paul’s Chapel, New York City. 1998

St Paul’s Chapel, in the Parish of Trinity Church, begun in 1764, is the oldest public building in New York City and was George Washington’s church during the first years of his presidency.

This was a project in collaboration with Hugh Harrison and architects Allen & Harbinson of NY. The design was based on lanterns at St Martin in the Fields, London.
